These proceedings contain the papers associated with keynote and regular talks presented at the 13th Mechatronics Forum, International Conference, September 17-19, 2012, Linz, Austria. The proceedings are printed in three volumes.
The Mechatronics International Conference series represents the oldest, still existing series of international scientific meetings on mechatronics as a whole. The proceedings reflect the diversity of research and teaching activities devoted to mechatronics and represent a comprehensive indication of current research topics and methods pursued at various places around the world, in both, science and in different industrial domains.
This 13th Conference, like its predecessors, has a strong flavour of the local organizing institutions, the Johannes Kepler University and the Austrian Center of Competence in Mechatronics. The topics addressed in these proceedings thus widely correspond to the research topics of these two organizations.
