The series “Schriftenreihe Geschichte der Naturwissenschaften und der Technik” at Johannes Kepler University Linz publishes scholarly works, including master’s theses, PhD theses, and monographs. Its goal is to inform the public about the important cultural contributions that science and engineering have made to the advancement of civilization throughout history.
This book consists of a series of fourteen papers written by the author in the past, dealing with different topics in the field of Engineering Systems Theory.
Chapter 1 (General Discussion) deals with general topics in Mathematical Systems Theory including a discussion of Computer-Aided Systems Theory (CAST). Part 2 (Modeling Examples) presents examples of modelling efforts in specific problem areas, Part 3 (Applications in Cryptography) shows how Mathematical Systems Theory can be applied to the design of cryptographic systems. All selected papers reflect the author’s interest in his research at the time.
